Meet Our People

As the owner and managing director, James started his career in the construction industry in the mid-90’s in residential refurbishment before joining Morgan Sindall PLC in 1999 and establishing Stabb in 2004.


James devotes his time to ensuring each client receives the time and attention they require to lay the foundations for a stress-free office relocation/fit out project while building the best team around the client.


When time allows James loves to travel with his family in Italy and Ireland and bowling a few overs for his local cricket club in Hertfordshire. James is a regular lecturer at the University of Westminster Business School.

James Stabb

Founder & Owner

Jacques has an Engineering Degree and a Project Management Diploma.

He has been in the construction industry for over 20 years. He has extensive experience in office fit out & has spent many years in high-end residential construction. He always ensures a high quality product delivered on time. His hands on approach, problem solving skills, keen eye for detail, commitment and dedication to the client are just some of his trademarks.


When he’s not working, Jacques enjoys playing tennis, golf, cooking great food and enjoying wine with family and friends.

Jacques Krige

Managing Director/Construction Director

Lara leads the Operations and Finance team at Stabb. With a 1st Class in Accounting & Business Systems, and an Executive MBA from IE Business School, she is a fellow of ACCA.


She works closely with the heads of departments and manages our internal resources to ensure that Stabb continues to provide our top class service in this ever changing world.

Lara Godson, FCCA

Operations & Finance

Scott has been working in construction industry for over 20 years, he is also a qualified Plasterer. He has developed his career from the ‘tools’ to his role of Project Director where he uses his skills and experience to advise clients.


His hands-on experience, knowledge of new construction methods and problem-solving skills have proven an asset to clients seeking to overcome challenges while meeting their business objections, financial requirements and design aspirations.

Scott Jenkins

Project Director

Heads up a team of talented architectural and commercial interior designers. Alli has encyclopaedic knowledge of Building Regulations and a wealth of practical understanding of building construction and detailing, whilst maintaining design flair and creativity to meet each fit out brief.


Alli is a keen cyclist, venturing all over the UK with her son on lengthy off-rode country tracks.


Being a brilliant cook, family and friends enjoy gathering at the Matthews table to refuel with good food and great company.

Allison Matthews

Head of Interior Design

James is a seasoned Real Estate man for over 20 years, with the last 10 years in the construction industry. James’s expertise lies in business development and growing sales opportunities from an early stage.


When out of the office he is a keen cyclist, golfer and skier with a Black Belt in Karate.

James Veasey

Business Development Director

For more than 40 years Doug has worked in construction in the UK, Germany and Hong Kong. He has gained extensive experience of fit out in the residential, commercial, and retail sectors throughout his career, including design coordination of major international airport projects.


He has been involved in many traditional Landmark projects although Doug prefers the Design and Build sector due to the variety of work and quick turn round of projects.

Doug Donnelly

PreContract Manager

Erol is a highly strategic, instinctive & experienced Business Development Manager. He is a maestro at converting business opportunities in to exciting new projects for the business. He works closely with the sales team and the pre-contract team to win new business & retain existing clients for future work opportunities.


Erol loves long haul travel especially to Asia. He enjoys Art, sports cars and keeping fit.

Erol Hanson

Business Development Manager

Having recently returned from living in Australia for four years, Emma is back in the UK to further her career in project coordination and purchasing. Her experience includes working alongside brands such as Westfield, Intercontinental and Boohoo. She has a jolly personality and tackles any problem, small or large with enthusiasm.


When not in the office, Emma enjoys outdoor pursuits and spending time with family and friends.

Emma Beresford

Project Administrator

With over a decade of experience in the furniture industry, George brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the team at Stabb. George takes pride in working closely with clients, guiding them through the selection and specification process and meeting all their furniture requirements. George ensures a seamless experience from specification to installation, leaving no detail overlooked.


Beyond his professional pursuits, George maintains a healthy lifestyle while pursuing his personal fitness goals. A devoted football fan, George passionately supports his team, Tottenham, cheering them on with unwavering loyalty. In his leisure time, you can often find George enjoying live music at gigs.

George Clark

Head of Furniture

Derek has been in construction for 32 years and started with an apprenticeship in carpentry and joinery gaining an advanced craft City and Guilds. Initially Derek worked in shop fitting at bars, restaurants & hotels. For the past 18 years Derek has solely worked in office refurbishments.


He enjoys mountain biking and running and spending time with friends and family.

Derek Rodger

Lead Site Manager

Marcin has been in construction for 17 years. He started his career in Sweden doing residential fit outs. From there he moved to Spain where he focussed on residential fit out projects. In 2014, Marcin joined Stabb. He is passionate and hard working and enjoys his role as the ''multi skilled man on site''.


For downtime, Marcin enjoys reading, long walks and the love of his life is music.
